To our guests currently staying at our eph Hotels, and to guests who will be staying with us in the coming months, we would like to reiterate our appreciation for your continued confidence in eph Hotels and the eph Hotel team.

Your well-being, health, and safety has always been, and will continue to be our number one priority.
We will not only continue our commitment to cleanliness, but every member on our team will be taking additional safety precautions, and take part in additional COVID-19 cleanliness specific guidance, consistent with our standards so our guests can feel safe when staying at any eph Hotel establishment. All of our hotels are currently open and operating as normal.

Your Stay

Temperature Monitoring
With all guests' safety in mind, we will be monitoring the health of all eph Hotel guests. Should any guests have a temperature of over 37.5℃, guests will be asked to take a second temperature reading. Should the second temperature reading also find a guests' temperature to be over 37.5℃, we may ask the guest to refrain from staying in our properties.
Handling of Money
All staff members will disinfect hands with alcohol before and after all transactions. In addition, our staff will not be handling money directly by hand, but will be placing all cash on a cash tray, during any transaction with guests.


Guest Rooms
In addition to our strict cleaning protocols, rooms will be well-venitlated during housekeeping services, and hard and high-touch surfaces will receive thorough alcohol disinfection. Housekeeping will only be conducted when requested by our guests.
Public Spaces
Regular disinfection of high-touch areas (front desk counter, elevator button, door handles, bathrooms, remote controls, light switches, and more), public bathrooms, and room keys will be conducted. We have also placed hand sanitizer in the lobby, and will ask guests to practice social distancing.

Staff Requirements

Staff Monitoring
All eph Hotel staff are monitored and managed with strict hygiene regulations. Should a staff member have a temperature of over 37.5℃, cough, or other cold symptoms, they will be asked to refrain from coming into work (hotel/office/etc.)
For the health and safety of our guests, all staff members will be required to wear masks during operating hours.


  1. For the health & safety of our guests, we will be temporarily changing our buffet-style breakfast to 'Breakfast Plates' prepared by our staff at each eph Hotel accommodation until further notice.
  2. Should guests request an additional 'Breakfast Plate' or drink refill, please feel free to let our eph team know.
  3. Staff will be regularly disinfecting the breakfast area during your stay.
  4. Please note that the menu for our 'Breakfast Plates' may differ from the buffet menu that is listed on our official website. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause, but appreciate your cooperation in this matter. Please contact our staff should you have further questions or inquiries.

In regards to eph TAKAYAMA Hotel

Hids’ cafe & bar located on the 1F of eph TAKAYAMA hotel will be temporarily closed until further notice. However, all eph TAKAYAMA hotel guests may still enjoy the lounge space during breakfast and throughout their stay.

We will continue to monitor developments around the world and will take advice from global organisations including the World Health Organization (WHO), and other relevant authorities to ensure our guests’ safety.
